Microfibre is a textile product manufactured from ultra fine fibres giving it superior properties to other fabrics. The fibres of microfibre are twice as fine as silk, three times finer than cotton and 100 times finer than a human hair.It is usually made of a mixture of 80% polyester and 20% polyamide.The best way to understand how it works is to look at a cross section of a fibre. Its special form allows dirt and liquid to become "trapped" inside the fibre. Because of this the microfibre glove has two unique characteristics: deep cleaning without scratching and able to absorb between 7 to 8 times its weight of water (twice as much as cotton).The fibre of our window cleaner has a diameter of 10 microns; this microscopic size gives the microfibre a touch like silk.The advantages of microfibre are the following:
